Clean | Sanitise | Deodorise
Christchurch NZ
Welcome to Mr Bin!
The leading wheelie bin cleaning solution in Christchurch NZ for your smelly bins. I am proud to deliver industry leading standards in cleanliness and customer satisfaction. All you have to do is sit back, relax and let Mr Bin do the dirty work for you.
How does it work?
STEP 1
Fill out the booking form on this website under the “book my clean’ tab.
You will then receive a confirmation text within 24 hours containing your scheduled cleaning date and an email with more detailed information about your upcoming clean, an invoice if you selected a one off clean or a direct debit setup link if you selected a recurring cleaning package.
STEP 2
On your scheduled cleaning day your bins will ideally be left out on the curb or easily accessible on your driveway.
The bins will then be professionally cleaned with 80 degree hot water inside a purpose built self contained truck mounted cleaning unit that catches all dirty run off water in order to leave no mess behind and comply with Christchurch City Council requirements.
Once deep cleaned with hot water, removed all dirt, grime, bacteria and smells the bins will be detailed and dried with microfibre towels and antibacterial deodoriser will be sprayed inside the bin and their lids to keep the fresh and smelling nice.
STEP 3
The bins will then be returned to their spot on the property as long as it’s easily accessible and not behind any gate or with free roaming dogs present.
In the later case the bins will be left on a safe spot on the driveway or on the kerb if requested.
Finally you are most welcome to enjoy your sparkly clean bins.
Why Have Your Bins Cleaned?
Decomposing and rotten food left in your bin will emit a foul smell that will put off your residence, customers and clients.
Flies are attracted to rotting food and waste which can be found in the residue in wheelie bins. The flies lay their eggs and these turn into maggots.
Rodents are drawn to rotting waste. If you do not hygienically clean your bins you give them the opportunity for infestation and this will attract them into your place of work, business or home.
Your bins can be a breeding ground for a whole host of bacteria associated with some of the worst bugs, including salmonella, clostridium, E.Coli, legionella and the deadly bacteria listeria.

FAQs
“I want 3 bins cleaned but only 2 are empty at a time. What happens with the third bin?”
3 bin cleans are scheduled on Recycling collection weeks. The contents of the Red bin will be bagged up in a bin liner and the sealed bag will then be placed back into the clean bin afterwards. Soft plastics are not allowed inside Green and Yellow bins, hence why only the contents of the Red bin can be bagged up
Do I need to be home on the day of the clean?
You don’t need to be home. Simply leave the bins in the requested area and we will take care of the rest.
“Do you need access to my water tap?”
We provide everything needed for the clean including water to all necessary supplies.
“Do you service any towns besides Christchurch?”
At present we only service the Christchurch urban area as far south as Lyttelton, west to Yaldhurst and north to Kainga.
“There are a few scraps of rubbish stuck to the bottom of my bin. Can you take care of it?”
If there is less than a handful of scraps present we can remove them. If there is more than a handful present, these will be bagged up in a sealed bag and placed into the Red bin.
“What happens to the dirty water from cleaning the bins?”
All dirty run off water will be caught inside a waste water tank below the wash bay on our truck. Water will be disposed of safely at the end of the day directly into the sewage system. You may find some water on the ground after our service. This is from cleaning the outside of the bins and their wheels. All contaminants came from the road and are simply rinsed back onto it.
i.e. dust, polled, bird poo, mud or sand.
“I will be moving house soon. Can I transfer my clean to my new house and will there be any additional fees?”
You are most welcome to move your cleans in between new houses at no additional costs.
